DIRECTING/PRODUCING
KNOW VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN
My Roles - Writer, Director, Producer

The requirements for this video were simple: a hard-hitting short film for the Cambridge Constabulary which would make young men stop and think about their actions towards women. The challenges came in solo writing, producing and directing the project in real locations around Cambridge. I approached the idea with a strong desire to listen to the stories which seemed common place in women's lives, and turn them into a narrative which was relatable to both sides. I am incredibly proud of how the video came out and it was an honour to work with such a talented cast and crew to pull it all off.

CARERS FIRST - TOGETHER, WE CARE
My Roles - Director, Producer, Client Manager
They say 'never work with children or animals', but this project proved that theory entirely wrong! Working with real-life young carers who spend every day looking after their family members was an eye-opening and humbling experience.

I worked with the client, Carers First, to form a loose narrative which tied in all of the young people, but left it open to include their own personal responsibilities. When it came to directing, each of them performed incredibly well in front of the camera and made our jobs surprisingly easy! Overall, a truly wholesome and memorable project to be involved in.

UNIVERSITY OF LINCOLN CINEMA AD
My Roles - Producer, Camera Assistant
Creating engaging and lively content for cinema audiences is always a fantastic challenge, and this upbeat ad for the UOL was no different.

For this project, I handled locations, scheduling and casting, recruiting a large number of current UOL students to participate as central models or extras, as well as drawing in some local acting talent to accompany them. On set, I assisted the cinematographer directly in lighting several challenging sets and coordinating movement.

STAGECOACH - CHILDHOOD DREAMS
My Roles - Producer, Production Designer, Camera Assistant
When I joined the industry, I can't say I ever expected to be building and painting a cardboard bus in my garden, the weekend before a shoot - but there I was!

The challenge with this content was capturing a heart-warming story in a short video, which appealed to children and adults alike.
I took on the roles of producer (casting, locations and scheduling); production designer (bus building, prop gathering/placing) and camera assistant (light rigging & equipment handling). It wasn't your everyday job, but it was an incredibly memorable and enjoyable one to see through.

LINCOLNSHIRE FA PROMO
My Roles - Writer, Producer, Camera Assistant
Football is a big part of every UK community, and Lincolnshire is no exception. The FA were looking to promote and celebrate the inclusivity and positivity of their local leagues, which is something that can only be done through an uplifting video!

Capturing this energy in the accompanying voiceover can be tricky, but I was thrilled with the script that I'd written after a few hours of knuckling down with my poetry hat on. On the shoot I assisted the DP with the operation of camera and lighting equipment, and coordinated the production/performers who I had gathered from the local football community.

J&A BRAND ANIMATION
My Roles - Writer, Animation Director, Producer, Client Manager
Producing a blend of quirky animation, real team images and quality video footage was a new recipe for me, but one that turned out to be a complete pleasure!
Working with the folks at J&A, we begun by establishing the right tone and comedy level for the business, which made writing and developing the script a breeze. From there, the video and photography elements were captured on-site and I led the post-production process of implementing everything into the unique sticker book style, to tell the brand's story in a way that they loved.

STOKES TEA & COFFEE - MINI DOC
My Roles - Writer, Producer, Camera Assistant, Lighting
Stokes are a staple of Lincoln's culture, so producing a documentary which shared their history with the community was an absolute pleasure (and a tasty one too).

For this production, I carried out extensive research into the history of the company and put together the autocue content which was performed by the MD, Nick, to keep the family connection strong. On-set, I lit the interview setup and ensured that dynamic and consistent light was present in every shot.
